Video Pitch
Before planning could begin I decided to construct a video pitch which I would present in front of my peers to get some feedback on ideas I had for my music video. I used prezi as a way of presenting my ideas to my peers as I found this was a great way to use different media technologies to present my work to my peers. In the presentation I put information on what track I had chosen to do a music video for and able information about the band/ artist that the song belongs to. Then I put information on my target audience. This allowed my peers to see what sorts of people would listen to my song that I had chosen to do the music video for. Audience profile shows clearly who my music video will be aimed at i.e. female or male or maybe both and what interests i.e. hobbies like socialising with friends or horse riding they have as well as showing what life style they lead. I have used a combination of images and text to give an idea of what the audience of my music video would be like by using visual images or either text ( I have used both of these so they you can get an idea of what my audience would look like by either looking at the text or either looking at the images that are on the Audience profile (Definition of audience profile – “A audience profile is economic characteristics (i.e. disposable income, car ownership, home ownership, etc.) and social characteristics (i.e. lifestyle, leisure activities, buying patterns) of the listenership, readership, or the viewership of a particular advertising medium in this case music video). Also in my video pitch I have put links to other real music videos of a similar genre to what I want my video to be; these videos also gave me inspiration in what to do in my own music video. I presented this video pitch to my peers and asked for their opinions and what they thought about the ideas for my music video. Presenting my work in this way was easy as I was familiar with how to use Prezi and I found it was a great way to present my work to a large audience. Once I had their feedback on their thoughts on my ideas, I made tweaks on my ideas to make my ideas of my music video better to appeal more to my target audience.
